Jytte von Rüden, accordion
Jytte von Rüden studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark with Professor Mogens Ellegaard and at Hochschule für Musik undTheater in Hannover, Germany, with Professor Elsbeth Moser.
Based on Jytte von Rüdens very high artistic level and concert success the soloist class in accordion was established in the Danish Music Academies, and she made her debut here as the first accordionist in Denmark.
In Denmark Jytte von Rüden is one of the pioneers on her instrument, classical accordion. She has given innumerable solo concerts in e.g. Denmark, Germany, Sweden, CzechRepublic and Italy and she has appeared as soloist with several symphony and chamber orchestras.
A number of composers, among these Leif Kaiser (Denmark), Peter Fievé (Denmark), and Carl Mansker (USA) have written works dedicated to Jytte von Rüden.
Jytte von Rüden plays for a long time together with violinist Marta Líbalová, formed the ensemble Duo Modus www.duomodus.dk .
Through many years Jytte von Rüden has created a national and international accordion milieu and she has made a great and widely recognized contribution to the propagation of the accordion not only as a solo instrument, but also in the context of chamber music and teaching. The commitment applies not least the strengthening and expansion of the repertoire through countless arrangements from Baroque, Classicism and Romanticism to contemporary Music in as well solo as in chamber music works.
Her students have won several prizes at Danish and international competitions, have received various distinctions and scholarships. They have appeared as soloists with Danish and foreign orchestras in addition to being active chamber musicians and music teachers.
Jytte von Rüden teaches in Danish, English, German and Czech.
Master Classes and Competitions
As visiting professor at home and abroad, Jytte von Rüden holds master classes for soloists and chamber musicians. She is also a sought after jury member at national and international competitions.
