Marta Líbalová, violin

Marta Líbalová was educated at The Music Conservatory and The Academy of Music in Prague with professors Antonin Moravec and Petr Messiereuer.

As a soloist and chamber musician Marta Líbalová performed in many European countries such as Austria, Italy, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Spain, Hungary and Germany.

Marta Líbalová plays for a long time together with accordionist Jytte von Rüden, formed the unconventional duo, Duo Modus  www.duomodus.dk

Since the beginning of her career at the musical academies she has, as an educator and Associate Professor of Violin and Viola, taught and inspired a number of prominent Danish and foreign violinists. Her students have won several prizes at Danish and international competitions, have received various distinctions and scholarships, and have now assumed positions as soloists – in Denmark and abroad – as chamber musicians, and as concert leaders.

Marta Líbalová has been a jury member at various national and international violin and chamber music competitions, and she has held appointments as Visiting Professor both in Denmark and abroad.

She is the founder of the Danish violin competition, “Jakob Gades Violinkonkurrence” aimed at children and young musicians till the age of 21 years.
